Youth Sports Philosophy -

  • Fun positive learning environment
    • Kids learn to have FUN in the development process & their results.
    • Kids are motivated by their own improvement
    • Fun does NOT mean kids goofing off within an undisciplined practice.
    • Winning is not the focus, but becomes the by-product of the development that has already occurred.

Josh believes strongly in setting expectations and measuring results.  We own both our successes and failures and adjust based on the outcomes of choices made.

Adam Pfeiffer

Director

Profession:

Solutions Director at RoboVent

Bio:

Adam grew up in Stone Bank, WI and played developmental hockey with Waukesha Youth Hockey in middle school.  The high school program at Arrowhead had just started a few years prior to Adam joining the team as a freshman for the 1995-1996 season.  Adam played all four years at Arrowhead as a goalie and enjoyed his senior year at the Mullett Center in its first year of operation. Adam had his first stint in coaching just after graduating from Arrowhead as the AYHA program started a Midget team in the 2001-2002 season.

After achieving an Associates degree in Fine Arts and Natural Sciences from UW-Waukesha, Adam transferred to UW-Milwaukee where he earned his Bachelors Degree in Economics and was able to play for the UWM Panther club hockey team for two years. While in school, Adam worked at Mullett Ice Center and at the Ozaukee Ice Center, as this was the home ice for UWM and Adam was able to give private goalie lessons to the youth from Ozaukee Youth Hockey Association.

Adam and his wife, Amanda, live in the Village of Hartland and are raising four young hockey players (Brody – 12, Coleton – 10, Delanie – 8, and Maverik – 5), who are all part of the AYHA.  Adam has been an assistant coach on all of their teams as well as a head coach for one of their teams every year since becoming a member of the association when Brody was 5 years old.  In the 2020-2021 season, while coaching the Squirt C team, the kids brought home the 3rd place trophy from the state tournament and it was one of the most fun and exciting experiences Adam has had as a coach.

Adam has a passion for the game of hockey and loves to share it with other coaches, parents and players at every level. His wife Amanda is a very passionate fan who loves the joy that this great sport brings to their family and the friends that they and their children have made over these past 7 years.  The life lessons and camaraderie that hockey teaches and the importance of such a great team sport in childhood and early adult development is the primary reason for Adam’s involvement in the association and for involving his family in this great sport.
